	Dinner/Movie Night The 1st Saturday of every month Details are emailed out each month or available in class on Sundays

	The Corridor at Cornerstone Church on La Palma 2nd Friday of the Month This is not an Eastside sponsored event, but it is a new opportunity for Christian singles to relax, hang out and bring their unsaved friends to a safe and friendly environment. It will be held every 2nd Friday of the month. For more information, talk to Debra Price on Sunday.

Camping - Woods Valley Campground (One In Christ/Single Parent Fellowship)
Dates: Friday, July 25th - Sunday, July27th
Place: Woods Valley Campground in Valley Center
Cost: $29 per night per campsite - at least two families can share a campsite
**$20 deposit due 4/12 - Remainder due four weeks prior to camp out.
Sign-ups in class on Sunday.

We will arrive on Friday and return on Sunday. Woods Valley is about one hour away from Orange County. Woods Valley campground has lake for fishing, farm animals, volleyball court, heated pool, HOT SHOWERS, campfires, hiking, recreation room, ping pong, pool tables and store. For those who do not want to camp, we have reserved the recreation room on Saturday night (7/26) for dinner, games, fun & fellowship!!

Welcome to “our” missionary Kelly Fitzpatrick
Sunday, Aug. 3rd 12:30 pm Here’s your chance to meet Kelly Fitzpatrick, our missionary in China, and get to know him better. He is currently back in the States for the summer and will be returning to Beijing on August 22nd. Plan to come for a great time of fellowship! Signups for food will be in class on Sunday.

Service Projects

Back-to-school Backpacks
Our next service project will be putting together backpacks for needy kids. Throughout July, we’ll be collecting donations of cash, backpacks and school supplies in class on Sunday. Watch for more information coming soon .

Reach Out To Our Soldiers
We are collecting your used cell phones to be donated to raise money for calling cards for our soldiers to call home. Bring your used cell phones to class on Sundays. If you want more information check out this link: http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/

CARE PACKAGES TO OUR TROOPS
If you're interested in helping pack care packages or writing cards to send to our soldiers in Iraq, you can help out on July 5th from 10 AM to Noon, or on July 26th in Costa Mesa, time to be announced.

July 26th is under the ministry "Serve Day". You must register on or after July 1st on their website at: www.serveday.org . See Les for directions and more info after class.

LETTER FROM A SOLDIER
I received a letter from a Sargent in Kuwait. While it's addressed to me ("Mr. Higa"), this letter is for ALL of you who have taken time to write to our soldiers and their commanding officers. This letter will be displayed on our table in our Sunday School class.
