God’s Big Backyard Day Camp // 1st-3rd graders

Hey 1st-3rd graders! Do you like to explore? Well then we’ve got a wild day camp adventure for you! You get to camp out like the big kids only you don’t sleep over! Grab your hiking shoes, a hat, and a canteen of water as we discover God’s Big Backyard. Our exploration will begin each morning at the entrance to Craig Park (on State College in between Bastanchury and Imperial Hwy). At Craig Park we will have chapel, crafts, games and lunch. Camp is just not camp without FREE time. So each afternoon we will load up and head out for different fun activities. This year they include, Concourse Bowl, Pump It Up, and Cinema City. We can’t wait to see you there!

This adventure is for kids going into 1st-3rd grade in fall of 2008.

Xtreme Dayz Summer Camp // 4th-6th graders
July 7-12
Cost: $280 (paid in April/May)
$300 (paid in June/July)

Our lives move at such a fast pace and every day we are faced with different messages that the world tells us about: how to live, how to act and how to be. But we don’t live by what the world tells us, we live by faith in Christ. Come discover what it’s like to live Xtreme Dayz for Christ and how to be not of this world. Be Xtreme for Christ!

Camp offers swimming, bike riding, fishing, “The BLOB”, giant slides, crafts, hikes, and so much more. You’ll be sleeping in fully closed cabins; you’ll meet new friends and find out what it means to be Xtreme for Christ! A week of camp is truly one of the best weeks in the life of a child. Seriously…don’t miss out! Specific details and times along with what to bring will be mailed approximately 2 weeks before we leave. To help with the cost of camp, we are having a “Work-Your-Way-To-Camp Day” (date to be determined). Pick up a sponsorship form from Children’s Ministries, get people to sponsor you and show up ready to work. It’s that simple! We will leave for camp on Monday morning and return Saturday around 6pm. Sugar Pine Christian Camp is located in Oakhurst, nestled in the beauty of the Yosemite Mountains. Along with one other church, we run the program to ensure a safe and quality program for everyone. Larger Than Life VBS // 1st-6th graders
August 11-15
Cost: $25

This summer, you can go big or you can go…LARGER than LIFE! Don’t miss out on a HUGE week of awesome VBS fun! We will have some big time activities like games, crafts, Bible stories, Bible memory games, and skits. Rob Biagi will be here leading our Larger than Life worship the whole week. There will also be a FREE concert with Rob’s whole band on Thursday night, August 14 at 7pm in the Worship Center. So don’t miss out on this BIG week of ginormous VBS fun!!

Beach Dayz // 1st-6th graders
July 17, 24, 31
Cost: $5

Calling all beach bums! Grab your boogie boards, beach towels, your SPF 30, and some shades and come with us to the beach for a day of fun. Invite your friends, or even bring your parents. The cost of $5 pays for the bus ride to Corona del Mar beach and some drinks. You just bring your own lunch and plenty of sunscreen. We’ll meet at 9am in the Eastside Pavilion and return to the Pavilion at 4pm. This event is for all kids entering 1st-6th grade as of fall 2008. Families are welcome or drop off your kids and we’ll hang with them and bring them back sandy.

Family Bonfire // Families of 1st-6th graders
August 24

If you love beach bonfires, you’ll LOVE our first ever Eastside Kids Family Bonfire. Meet us at the Corona del Mar beach at 4pm by the jetty for a night full of eating hot dogs, roasting marshmallows, building sand castles, and singing worship songs. You can either bring your own dinner, or you can pay $3 per person and we’ll provide a hot dog, chips, and a drink for you! You definitely won’t want to miss out on this night of hangin’ with other families and celebrating the close to an awesome summer.
