Life Keys: Becoming Like Jesus

Eastside’s objective is to keep moving people toward the likeness of Christ by encouraging Personal Spiritual Commitments. Life Keys is a progressive series of 4 seminars created to help support that goal. Click here for 2008 Class Schedule.

These seminars are designed to be taken in order as the material for each class builds on the class before. Using this series of seminars, we call people to four basic commitments:

Childcare will be offered except where noted. To reserve childcare, you must phone the church office at 714-871-6844 X.320 no later than the Wednesday BEFORE your LIFE KEY date. Please leave names and ages of children. Childcare reservation can also be made with your online Life Keys Registration.

You were designed to be a part of a church family. When God saved you through faith in Christ, he made you a part of His body—the Church. That’s exactly what the local church is designed to be—your family. A healthy family has common beliefs, values, and purposes. Its members are committed to each other’s well-being. That’s why we teach our members what we believe and where we are going.

The Bible says a lot about what makes a healthy church, but ultimately it’s about commitment to Jesus and following Him. We commit to follow Christ, are baptized into Him. God then wants us all to grow in fellowship, discipleship, worship, ministry, and evangelism. We live out God’s plan for our lives together as we balance all five of these purposes. The local church family of Eastside wants to come alongside you and help you grow in all five of these areas. You commit yourself to Christ, and to this church family. That’s what it means to be a member of Eastside.

Maturity is a commitment to the habits necessary for spiritual growth. The goal of Life Keys 201 is to help people grow toward spiritual maturity.

Life Keys 201 is the 2nd in a progressive series of seminars. In order to register for this class, you MUST have completed Life Keys 101. Each class builds on the class before so it is very important to attend all 4 seminars in order.

Life Keys 301: Get Serving – Discover Your Unique S.H.A.P.E. for Ministry

Ministry is a commitment to discovering and using my God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others. The goal of Life Keys 301 is to equip people with the skills they need for ministry.

The pre-requisite for signing up for this class is the successful completion of Life Keys 101 and Life Keys 201.

Missions are a commitment to share the Good News with others. The goal of Life Keys 401 is to enlist people to the worldwide mission of sharing Christ.

The pre-requisite for signing up for this class is the successful completion of Life Keys 101, 201 and 301.
