Service Saturdays - 2008
Eastside is moving outside our 4 walls and making a difference in our community. Thanks for your willingness to help serve those in our community!
“Paint Your Heart Out” in Anaheim: May 2008.
PAINT DAY
- Date: Saturday, May 10—8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Location: 535 Crowther, Pacentia, CA 92870 Go south on Placentia Ave. (near Home Depot), to Crowther. Turn left and go underneath 57 freeway. House is on east side of freeway, on Crowther.)
What to Bring: Wear old clothes; water bottle; hat; sunscreen; fine paint brush. If you have them: drop cloths; ladders
Lunch: Pizza will be served for all volunteer workers!
“Eastside on a Local Mission” Saturday: (Date to be announced)
One of Eastside’s recent daughter church plants—LifeSpring Christian Church in Beaumont—is moving to a new location. They need help in refurbishing their new place. It involves construction and some painting. We will carpool in vans up to Beaumont (70 miles each way). Lunch is provided, and more details to follow. If you’d like to serve, contact Jim Swaney at jwswaney@eastside.com
Bill Glass Prison Ministries—Evangelism in Fresno
20 Eastsiders joined the Bill Glass Ministry Team and hundreds of others, to share the Good News of Christ with prisoners in that area on May 1-3. Please pray for the Lord to open up hearts and give us opportunities to declare His message!
Note: Another Prison ministry weekend will be coming in November, in the San Bernardino area.
