Is Eastside sending a response team to Houston?
At this time, Eastside is focusing our resource and efforts towards sending supplies to those already serving those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Where are Eastside donations being made?
New Hope Church is a church within the Eastside connection, they are located just South of Houston, and just North of the Gulf Coast. New Hope Church is very similar to Eastside, being a Multi-Site, Non-Denominational church. We fully support Pastor Tim Liston and the staff at New Hope Church. Please keep them in your prayers as they become the hands and feet of Jesus to the South Houston area.
Thousands of residents have been displaced and homes, cars, and community centers are flooded or destroyed. Giving Children Hope has been in contact with our partners in Texas and will be responding immediately. Giving Children Hope is an organization that Eastside has partnered with many times before through Local Compassion. We are extremely thankful to be able to partner with an organization who is prepared to physically take our items to Houston directly.
When can I drop off donations?
Drop off donations before/after weekend services at any campus during the month of September starting 9/9, or bring donations to the church office in Anaheim (Tues-Fri 8:30a-5p) or Park Rapids (Wed-Thurs 10a-5p).
Because of your generosity, and in response to our partner’s request in Jacksonville, Florida, Eastside is sending a small team of skilled labor to aid in Hurricane Irma relief efforts this Thursday. This team will not only meet immediate needs but will also evaluate how we can respond with larger teams in the future, become more knowledgable in case of our own local disaster, and as one of the first to respond, pave the way for future teams from all over the country.
