Over the last 25 years, Larry Winger has focused his leadership energy on providing catalytic resources to the local church across the U.S. and beyond. That vision started in 1993 when he was asked to became CEO of Church Development Fund which was a small, regionally-confined non-profit church lender that he subsequently led through a national expansion to become the third largest denominational lender in the U.S.

By 2003, CDF was moving beyond church funding to become a platform for ministry innovation, setting the stage for Larry to serve as founder and CEO of Provision Ministry Group, a family of six highly intentional ministries positioned to accelerate the impact of the local church “from launch to legacy.”

Those ministries today include CDF Capital (funding and strategic consulting), Stadia Church Planting (domestic and international church planting), Visioneering Studios (national architecture and design-build services), Slingshot Group (ministry staffing and coaching), Co:Mission Foundation (donor and agency stewardship services) and the Kairos Benevolence Fund (crisis assistance aiding retired Christian workers).

In his background, Larry was Senior Pastor to churches ranging from 50 to 800 in Kansas, Illinois and Arizona, followed by the five-year adventure of starting two real estate companies in Scottsdale, AZ, in the aftermath of the S&L crisis.  His education includes a BA from Manhattan Christian College, Masters-level studies at Lincoln Christian Seminary, and the Presidential/Key Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.  Additionally, he is a graduate of the Policy Governance Academy and has consulted with many non-profit organizations on the subject.

Larry and Joy have been married for 40 years and are long-time members of Journey Christian Church in Irvine, CA, where he has served several terms as an Elder and Chairman of the Elders.  After many years of classroom teaching, Joy is now a Speech Language Pathology Assistant with the Tustin Unified School District and a volunteer CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) since 2002. They are blessed to have two children, Ryan and Andrea, who are both married and living in Southern California.

As evidence of his life-long love of aviation, Larry set up shop in his garage and scratch-built a two-seat, single-engine experimental aircraft from plans over the span of 8.5 years. Today that energy and focus has been completely shifted over to family, with special attention gladly given to two wonderful granddaughters, Sofia (3) and Eleanor (2), with a grandson on the way in July.
