Youth who experience risk factors of poverty, drop-out rates, teen pregnancy, or drug/alcohol use that threaten their safety and healthy development.

Bring Hope to Families

Families, seniors, and veterans who go hungry, are homeless, live in motels/share living space with multiple families, or have escaped domestic violence. They are a key factor for at-risk kids.

Build into our communities

Intentionally extending compassion by partnering with Anaheim to meet the needs of our own local community.

Human Trafficking Task Force Volunteer

What: Learn to identify human trafficking victims in your community, how to get victims help, how to support survivors, become a mentor, be an interpreter, provide transportation, teach a life skill and more. Varying levels of training required.

Help Alleviate Poverty at Giving Children Hope

What: Volunteer at Giving Children Hope (a local non-profit that helps alleviate poverty in our community) Mon-Fri between the hours of 9am-5pm with packing backpacks full of food for local low-income students and their families.

Encourage & Enrich Foster Teens

When: Mondays, Fridays around 5-8pm

What: Volunteer at an event that is hosted for 90 of the most at-risk youth in the OC foster care system put on thru Social Services. Sign up and we'll let you know about upcoming monthly events.

A21 Walk for Freedom

What: Take a stand against modern-day slavery and join the thousands that will march on this day for freedom. Sign up and we'll get you connected to local walks.

Mentor a Foster Child with Young Life: Impacting Hearts

Who: Adults only
Where: Orange County
What: This organization is looking for people of faith who want to make a commitment to serve foster youth in Orange County. Volunteers are needed to mentor weekly, bring and share dinners, or provide carpools to allow foster youth to attend Young Lives' weekly group. Some screening required.

Rescue Pack for Human Trafficking Survivor

What: Shop for items and assemble care packages for girls rescued from human trafficking.  These gifts will be given out by law enforcement officers rescuing them.  List given after signing up. Cost is $50-75/ bag.

Provide Dinner for Victims of Domestic Violence

What: Provide a meal and activity for the residents of the Sheepfold and their kids. Residents have been victims of domestic violence/abuse. 

Volunteer at Bridges Shelter or the Family Care Center

What: Volunteers needed for Bridges at Kraemer Place, a newly opened emergency shelter near our Eastside Anaheim campus. Or volunteer for the Family Care Center in Orange. Both run by Mercy House and after a brief training and screening, you can sign up to work a 3-4 hour shift any day of the week available.

Provide Dinner or Childcare for Teen Moms at Fristers
Cause: Teen Pregnancy
Who: Small Group Friendly

Where: Anaheim, La Habra, Santa Ana
What: Fristers gathers young moms to teach life skills, parenting, and offer support...all much needed after a young mom chooses to bravely parent. At the same time their children are cared for and given a preschool-like education. You can provide and serve a hot dinner (homecooked or store-bought) for one of their classes, or you can help with childcare.

Volunteer at The Courtyard Homeless Shelter

What: Volunteer your time on a weekly basis at this newly opened homeless shelter. After a brief training and screening, sign up to work a 3-4 hour shift any day of the week available.  

Mentor or Support Young & Vulnerable Parents at Fristers

Where: Anaheim, La Habra, Santa Ana
What: Fristers gathers young moms and dads to teach life skills, parenting, and offer support...all much needed for those young adults bravely choosing to parent. At the same time their children are cared for and given a preschool-like education. Provide and serve a hot dinner (homecooked or store-bought) for one of their classes, help with childcare, or volunteers to do one-on-one coaching with a mom or dad.

What: OC Family Justice Center is looking for mentors for youth in the community whose lives have been affected by child abuse, domestic violence or sexual assault.

Volunteer in the Riverbed/Flood Control Channel with City Net
Cause: Homelessness
Who: Adults only

Where: Anaheim/Orange
What: Serve the homeless community currently living in the Flood Control Channel (aka the Riverbed) by partnering with City Net. City Net is invested in advocating for those ready to be re-housed and finding long-term solutions by collaborating across organizations and agencies.

What: Purchase bus passes to help transport those in need to jobs, interviews, etc. Bus passes will be distributed by case managers working with individuals experienceing homelessness or poverty.

Donate food for those experiencing hunger in our community. Giving Children Hope is a local non-profit that helps alleviate poverty in our community. After signing up a specific list of needed items will be sent to you.

Birthday Boxes for the Sheepfold

What: Birthdays can make us feel special and celebrated...or forgotten. Support the work of The Sheepfold by providing Birthday Boxes to allow moms recovering from domestic violence the opportunity of celebrating their child. Birthday Boxes are kits that include everything needed to throw a birthday party--from party decor to cake mix and candles. Instructions and list given after signing up.

Meal Kits for Homeless Shelters

What: Donate meal kits, welcome or exit kits for individuals experiencing homelessness that are living at Bridges at Kraemer Place in Anaheim or The Courtyard Shelter in Santa Ana. Kits serve as a meal or are given upon their arrival to the shelter or as they exit the shelter to transition to more permanent housing.

What: Help at Renewable Farms, a local aquaponics farm (fish farming and plant farming combined) by gardening and learning this practical and healthy skill. Produce grown goes to families in need in our community.

Paint Fire Hydrants or Trash Cans in Local Anaheim Parks

What:Pick up a kit and choose a Saturday to clean up a park in partnership with the City of Anaheim. Sign up and then choose a date.
